Hey you people of the internet. It is already April fourth.
Am I the only one bothered with how fast time passes now? It felt like it was yesterday the first snow-flakes fell, and now the spring is here. And with spring comes bugs, but let’s leave them until they TRULY become a problem. Believe me, I WILL complain.
Today me, my mom and BROTHER went to Skansen. If you do not know what Skansen is, which you probably don’t, let me tell you.
Skansen is not a zoo, but a “open air museum”. It features Scandinavian animals only, with exceptions for the aquarium and a few bisons. Or one bison. I am not sure, but I only saw one today.
In the aquarium you find crocodiles, exotic monkeys and fishes. There are also an extensive collection of snakes, spiders and bats. The baboons are the sweetest ones though. Unfortunately the aquarium and the monkey building had closed just a few minutes before we reached it, so there were no baboons or lemurs for me today. But we saw over the fence that the baboons had several babies clinging to them.
If you have seen baboon babies, (disney’s Tarzan anyone?) then you know how extremely cute they are. With eyes that seem too big for their tiny body, I believe I must say that they are in my cutest-animal-babies-list that I just made up.
Skansen is not only an animal park, but also a museum as I said before. It shows houses from different ages in Sweden. Farm houses, really, transported from around the country. It’s very beautiful.
But enough about Skansen. It was amazing as it always is, and I could go around in short sleeves, something that has been impossible.
Now it’s two AM here and I should go to bed.
Happy BEDA.
